Weathered
This is the guidon we used in Afghanistan it's so weathered. We were destined to have a drama filled deployment I believe. During Annual Training, the guidon was lost by the airline on the way back. A claimed was filed but it was never found. So we showed up at Camp Shelby without one and finally as we were leaving we received the new one. The wind and sand tore it apart and the sun faded it but I believe it's more of a sign of the way our unit was out there. At one point when the unit was having a bunch of internal issues the poor thing was falling apart. Well, we all made it back and so did the guidon even tough it has it holes and tears. Today, I took this picture so that we can get a new one and retire this one. Hopefully, both the unit and the guidon will have better luck this year.

Procastination
Let's face it we all procrastinate for one thing or another. We want to find the perfect moment, the perfect time but unfortunetly it never arrives. I was browsing at Barnes and Noble yesterday and found this little kit. It's a DO IT NOW! Clock and Book Set....LOL. I decided to put it in my office since I spend most of the day there. I use my Outlook calendar for work and my personal things but everyday I seem to snooze my personal things. I though it might help me to not forget about myself. The booklet has "motivational" quotes, it's just a little thing to keep the day positive. :)

Lizet's BD
I dont' remember taking this picture even tough I don't look drunk...at least I think so....Lizet's looks really drunk. Well, she sure did accomplish her goal for the weekend...LOL. The party bus was a good idea and the club was a good spot. The DJ played some good music. I would have been pissed about the bottle service though. I can't believe $350 for one bottle of Grey Goose. We could have bought at least four bottles at Costco with that. It was a good night though but seriously I'm not going to drink anymore!...Okay, at least not like that....LMAO.

Nature and Shopping
Escondido is actually were the San Diego Wild Animal Park is located. There is a lot of agriculture/nature in Escondido you just have to travel a little bit further inside. Here we were on the way to the Ramona K-Mart because apparently Escondido does not have one. It was a good little field trip in California because I had never been to Ramona. A lot of windy roads though which I didn't like. And I got some good deals at Kmart.

Hilda and Lizet's Adventure
Another Hilda and Lizet adventure unfolded on Valentine's Day 09'. Head back to Lizet's house after spending the day in Oceanside shopping for our outfits for Lizet's BD, we found ourselves over the Oceanside/Carslbad bridge after Lizet's car ran out of gas. The car stopped in the middle of the bridge so some random guys helped us move it to the side of the road. The Chevron was just down the street that we ended up walking there, ok more like jaywalking. I was freazing my ass off and I was super tired but after getting the gas I didn't feel either...LOL. So we have the gas and then the battery died while we were getting the gas. Lizet ended up calling her roadside assistance which I was surprised didn't take too long to arrive. He was this cute white guy so at least I got some good eye candy out of it. Lizet and I could not stop laughing even thouhg we were both kind freaked out at first. What a year this has been.....

Gloomy
Not sure how the weather is in other places but it was very gloomy here in San Diego. I don't like the cold and I don't like it to be gloomy. Unfortunetly, Escondido and San Diego are a lot colder than Riverside. Oh the good ol' IE. This is California though and tomorrow we can have the brightess sun...although I don't think we will be that lucky. Well, this is how I feel right now...that's why I rather it be sunny. Can't wait till summer....

Killing the trees
This is how much paper has come out of my office in the last two days. All paperwork that was there prior to me and all paperwork that was done over and over & then some of it was never used. It's quite sad how much paper is wasted. Who knows how many trees died in that box. Well, my office is getting there. I have help from a soldier that is coming in this week. Hopefully, by Friday this week I will have some organization and with it some peace of mind.

Another beginning
This is the another beginning of my 365 for this year. I had to stop for a while because I was having issues with my camera. It's also a beginning for this year because this is my first day back at my actual office. Doesn't it look a mess? It's giving me a headache just looking at it. It's okay though because I remember I have walked in bigger messes in my days in the supply world. Oh supply I still miss you but this admin stuff is my job now. Gotta make so money...LOL.
I thought...
Okay, so my SD card that I was using is stupid. I am not able to transfer any files from it on to my computer. This is the reason why I have not been posting any pictures on my 365. Christy offered to let me borrow one of her cards ( Thanks Christy!) so I can actually post some pictures this month. So here I am at Starbucks excited that I will be able to post this month but of all the luck....I left my camera sitting in my office at work. I have to break this bad streak of luck. I have to stop focusing on it otherwise it may continue to get worse. Stay tuned for my 365 pictures for the month of February which I hope I have better luck in . That's funny because I said this was (is) going to be the best year ever....LOL.

The newest addition
Meet Princess & Rocky, they are the newest addition to the Yaguax family.
Princess was the first and she is the older more calmer one. Rocky is still a puppy and he is soo wild. But both dogs are so loveable. My family got them last year while I was away on deployment which was a total surprise to me because my mom never seem to want pets. Well, it seems like everyone is getting a dog including Christy. I though about getting one but I'm not so sure because they are a lot of work. I won't say never but maybe further on down the road I might get a dog.

First Xmas and New Year's back...yeay!
A pic by the tree at my sister's house
if you look at the background you can see a card. I think that one is the one my aunt from Guatemala sent which we were all surprised she sent. Seriously, we were very surprised...LOL. It was my first Christmas and New Years back since the deployment and it felt awesome to be back. Another year gone by but I'm so glad the deployment is over. I'm also really glad I got to spend these holidays with my family.

At the Quarry Market in San Antonio
Today, I spent the day with my little brother Fernando ( maybe not so little since now he is taller than me). We stopped by GameWorks (Studio) for a few hours and then headed down to Borders. I did not buy anything for myself there although I need to but my brother did get 4 books. I promised him Starbucks but we looked for it but they must have closed it. It was good spending time with the lil bro at the Quarry. We ended up having Sonic Blast from Sonic...Oreo cookie...yummy :-).
